Designed for Plug & Play Retrofit

The EVO-SP System has been designed for fast, in-field retrofit minimizing engine downtime. Each SP System is shipped with pre-assembled and pre-tested components, allowing for a quick and error free installation.

The EVO-SP System integrates with existing engine accessories and systems without the need to modify or replace OEM components. The SP System ECU interfaces with sensors, gas controls and a remote control panel using pre-fabricated wiring harnesses and weatherproof quick connections. This design minimizes field wiring and allows for rapid installation of the SP System.

Primary EVO-SP System Components:

Electronic Control Unit

The EVO-SP electronic control unit (ECU) is factory tested and shipped ready to install with all required software and firmware. The ECU utilizes Deutsch-type, environmentally sealed, electrical quick connections and can be installed directly on or adjacent to the engine.

Low Pressure Gas Train

This assembly includes manual gas shut-off valve, gas filter, gas regulator and a DC powered dual shutoff solenoid valve. The EVO-SP gas train is shipped fully assembled and is pressure tested, calibrated and leak-checked prior to shipment. The gas train is typically installed on the engine skid or adjacent to the engine / generator.

Control Panel

The EVO-SP control panel is shipped as a complete and fully tested assembly and includes manual control switches, touchscreen display and emergency stop switch housed in a stainless steel NEMA 4X enclosure. The control panel connects to the EVO-SP ECU and other system components using environmentally sealed electrical connections. The control panel is typically installed on the engine skid or adjacent to the engine / generator.

Wiring Harness System

The EVO-SP System includes a complete wiring harness system. Each harness is pre-assembled and tested and includes environmentally sealed electrical quick connections. Harnesses are provided for connecting the ECU to all System components including sensors, fuel flow meters, control panel, gas shut-off valve and mixer throttle-body.

Integrated Mixer Throttle-Body

The integrated mixer throttle-body (MTB) is assembled, tested and calibrated at the GFS factory. The MTB utilizes an environmentally sealed electrical quick connection and is installed upstream of the turbo-compressor inlet using supplied hump hoses and stainless steel turbo clamps. Engines utilizing multiple, parallel turbochargers will typically have one MTB installed per turbo.

Mass Airflow Sensor

The EVO-SP mass airflow sensor (MAF) is assembled, tested and calibrated prior to shipment. The MAF utilizes an environmentally sealed electrical quick connection and is installed upstream of the MTB using supplied hump hoses and stainless steel turbo clamps. Typical installations require installation of one MAF with total engine airflow calculated by the System ECU for multi-turbo designs.
